Imagine

I came across this old song of John Lennon…..Imagine….found the words so relevant and apt to what’s happening in the world today……..

Imagine there’s no heaven
It’s easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today

Imagine there’s no countries
It isn’t hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
No religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world

You may say i'm a dreamer
but i'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one...

Some day I wish things could at least come a lil closer to as described in this song……the world will then become so much a better place to live…

  • Theres no perfect world..theres no dream like existance..
why do u think ADAM ws kicked out of EDEN,,and this place ws created..?
as a punishment for his deed, though he was frgiven..but still..
we as a human beings are cursed 2 live life with pain, sufferings and miseries...but atleast we have gt 1 dolace in the form of faith
THERES LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL..
so while following this light, our pain might diminish..or atleast lessen..

  • John Lennon at his best...really tugs at ur heart n soul and makes u THINK! this song is beautiful...also one of my favs...i simplyy luv Beatles and wen they split up...i luvdd their individual songs just as much...

    But it's a utopian idea...an impossible dream...

maybe i'm a dreamer but i'm not the only one. I hope someday you'll join us...And the world will live as one..."
we hope n pray with him...

  • I second Alive n Confused, too much of idealism in the song but once I got it I kinda liked it:)

  • It's really sad that such a famous song from the 1970s is virtually unknown by you kids. Then again, you probably have no idea who the Sisters of Mercy are, either.
